Roulette is a pretty easy game, as long as you understand the house always has an edge. There are numerous roulette strategies you can try (see casinocaptain.net). Essentially there is a wheel that has numbers printed on it from 1 to 36, a zero and a double zero. The dealer spins the wheel and then sets a ball in motion and after a few seconds the ball lands on a number and presto…roulette.
- WHEN A CHIP IS NOT A CHIP
Roulette uses chips of different colors. They have no amount printed on them. Each table has six sets of different color chips with 300 to each set. Every player purchases his own color chip and the “buy in” divided by the number of chips. A token is placed on top of the chips to indicate the value. The chip is then placed on a map with numbers indicating the bet.
- NEVER A CROWD
In addition to the players, outsiders may also place bets on the wheel. Hence the different types of bets: inside and outside.
- NOT FOR THE FAINT OF HEART
The way the numbers appear on the roulette wheel may seem to be random but they are carefully arranged. The sum of all the numbers on the roulette wheel add up to 666.
The riskiest bet in Roulette is an inside straight up bet. This is a bet on a single number. The risk is high but so is the reward. Roulette is a relatively simple game to play but as anything in life it can quickly get very complicated.
